Displaying dates.

trying to replace a report form designed in excel with a fillable pdf.  When I enter the date on the excel forum it displays it back as day the week, month, day of month, year.   ex:  if I enter 8-03-16  it displays,  Wednesday, August 3, 2016. I'd really like to have that functionality in the pdf version.  It is possible?  Any tips would be appreciated.

thanks, i see the custom option now.   The problem I have is that I want to be able to enter the date as normal, because it's easier,  8/03/16  and have it display back as weekday, mmmm-d-yyyy

This means you will have to write some custom scripts to gather the input it and change the format for the display.

There is no standard date format in the global sense.
