I want to do a button in Acrobat Pro and when I press it I want the current page i am on at the moment (lets say page 12) to be downloaded but I want to be asked where to save the document. Preferably on my desktop. Been searching forever but I have not found any script that works out for me.
When you see a page of an online document this mean that this document is already downloaded on your device.
Don't know for other browsers but you can set firefox to ask where to save downloaded files.
As mentioned, when you view a file it has already been downloaded. Do you just mean to extract the page, instead of download it?
If so, that's certainly possible, using a custom-made script that will have to be installed on the local machine.
If you're interested in something like that feel free to contact me privately (try6767 at gmail.com) to discuss it further, including the price.
After some more searching I found the code I was looking for:
Any one has a clue how the make a script that makes the extracted file zoom to fit? The extracted file shows up very large. And possible make it get renamed XXXXX. The title that show up is "Acr4682124642956812043348.tmp".
Beware that this is an Acrobat Pro/Standard feature only, it's not available in Acrobat Reader.
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Will everyone who views or uses the file have Acrobat Pro also?
