Do I need adobe reader pro to edit a pdf?  when I click edit it doesn't do anything..

Edit PDF is not supported on Adobe Acrobat Reader. You will need to install "Adobe Acrobat Pro" for editing a PDF.

Please follow the instruction on page https://acrobat.adobe.com/in/en/free-trial-download.html  to install Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
