Please let us know the dot version of Acrobat DC pro and OS installed on your system.

Also share the exact error message you get.

Try "Repair installation" and "check for updates" under help menu.

hello meenakshi, acrobat dc version 2015.006.30119, windows 7, outlook and office 2010. all programs have been repaired, updated, acrobat was completely removed and reinstalled.

the error message I see when press email button is "an error occurred while sending email"

I found the answer. one of the below updates is at fault, most likely SP2 for office 2010. I uninstalled the updates and the email function began to work again. SP2 was removed last.
