Error message while trying to attach & email PDF to Outlook Contact

Suddenly, I am getting error message after trying to attach a scanned PDF document to outlook contacts. "An error occurred while sending email."

Which Operating System you have- Windows/Mac?

What version of MS Office installed on your computer?
