Expandable pdf forms

Hi guys, I'm a newbie here and not a tech savvy..I've been searching ways on how to create expandable forms and came through this forum that that is possible using Adobe Livecycle. Is there any Adobe Livecyce trial download in order for me to try it first before purchasing one? Or is the Adobe Livecycle still available as I saw in one of the forum also that it was changed to Adobe Experience Manager? I hope you guys can help me as my boss been asking me this for months now..
