Fit One Full Page to Window - Button is Missing

Guest

I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer to this.  I'm running Adobe Acrobat 11.  When I close Acrobat and re-open, the Fit One Full Page to Window button disappears.  I have to right click, go to Page Display, and check the Fit One Full Page to Window every time I open Acrobat in order for it to show up.  I tried to customize the Tools, but these page display tools are not available to customize.  I've read other threads about setting pdfs to open to fit one full page by default, but that's not what I'm after.  Help!  Thanks.

Hi Kyle Bode,

Once you check the option for "Fit one full to Windows", navigate to Edit menu > Preferences > Documents and check box for "Restore last view settings when reopening documents"

Then click OK to save settings and relaunch application. Check if this helps.

Let us know if you still experience the issue.

Regards,

Meenakshi

Meenakshi,

I looked at the settings and "Restore last view settings when reopening documents" is already checked

Hi Kyle Bode,

Please try to "Repair Installation" under Help menu.

Check if there is any update pending. Make sure it is updated to the latest version.

Regards,

Meenakshi

I tried the Repair Installation and it popped up a window that looked like it was repairing it, but then it disappeared and nothing happened.

I tried to reset the Preferences using the method from the other thread but it didn't do anything.

I don't see where I can update to the latest version.  I'm on 11.0.0.  Apparently the option should be under the Help menu, but I don't see an option to check for updates.
