How do I format currency in a fillable pdf? In English currency is shown as $1,234.56. In French it is shown as 1 234.56 $

That would not be correct. The number would be written as 1 234,56 or 1.234,56. In France the decimal separator must be virgule (comma).

Hi.

Coming with Acrobat X, the currency symbol can be placed on the right, with or without a blank space.

And, as Test Screen Name wrote, the French format requires a coma as a decimal separator, not a dot.
