Full Retail Version of Acrobat XI Pro Serial Number Invalid

New Here ,

I purchased a sealed full retail version of Acrobat XI Pro and when I attempt to register it on my Adobe account I received an error message stating the serial number is invalid.  How is this possible?  What are my options?

I was able to install it, however it keeps giving me a 1328 error code when I try to install an update.  Also, the "Product Registration" and "Activate" are grayed out within the program Under the Help tap.

I finally got Acrobat XI to load, update, and register.  I had to download the newer version of the installation program from Adobe's website to make this happen.   Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X

I did use Adobe's cleaner program just to be safe. Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

The only problem now is the program shows up as version 8 instead of 11 on my Adobe account.

Hi roberts62003574

Error 1328 refers that a file has changed or is missing.

Refer this KB doc for more details: Fix Windows errors that occur during Acrobat Reader update

Please try to uninstall the application (If you are on Windows, use cleaner tool Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs  ) and then try restart your system.

Then try to re-install it and let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Meenakshi
