After removing header & footers from my 70 page PDF document, random information throughout my document, like titles and text boxes, was also deleted.  Can consistently recreate problem.

Background info:

  • All files were created in PowerPoint 2010 & 2013 and Word 2010 & 2013, then saved as PDFs.

Steps taken:

  • add page numbers
  • remove headers & footers

Workaround: Manually delete each page number or use 'update' feature.

I'm guessing you aren't using Adobe Captivate and seeing this.

Are you possibly using Adobe Acrobat? If so, I'll be happy to move the thread to the Acrobat forum for you. If not, please advise the Adobe product you are using so I can move appropriately.

Done but I'm still unsure if I moved to the right spot. If it was a wrong move, hopefully one of the mods of this forum will know where to move it.

Hi RhetaM,

Is it Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (the desktop app)?

If so, the current forum (the Acrobat Reader mobile forum) is not the right one.
