Has something happened to Acrobat Security???

Community Beginner ,

For the last three years I've been creating a PDF that gets published online, but with security settings for only printing and extraction allowed.

I've followed the same process every time, and done it hundreds of times

Today, following the same process I can no longer add the PDF to my page after update.

Same process - Password security - Restrict editing ticked - Printing Allowed - untick the two boxes - add password - confirm password - save PDF

When checking Doc properties the only things allowed are Printing and Extracting - great

Close File

Can't upload it as a link

Check Doc - Printing Allowed, Extract File - not allowed

What normally takes less than five minutes, has now wasted an hour and a half of my time

What is happening??? This is not the only Adobe software that has been playing up recently - Photoshop and Audition have been particularly rubbish too

Thanks Bernd, but something must have changed somewhere

Why am I now not able to download my own PDF to my own website for others to view, despite not changing my process or settings that I have been using for nearly three years??

I'm not changing anything, so it must be in Acrobat

How did you upload? May be the provider of your website has something changed.

I think you may be right Bernd

Since the last contact with you I decided to try adding another file as a test and it won't load up either - this is not security protected in any way.

Ignore all of above then everybody, it must be a Wordpress issue

Although saying that - it still doesn't explain why initially the Extract File is Allowed and then it changes to Not Allowed without me doing anything

‌Where can you see Extract File is Allowed? There is no such setting in Adobe Acrobat.
