Are you talking about static content or about interactive elements?

I'm not sure. I'm a beginner. I'm editing a .PDF file and making a packing

list.

The existing document has bullets and check boxes.

I can add text to the box, but just putting the cursor on the previous line

and hitting the spacebar, I can add another line of text, but the bullet or

the checkbox does not automatically get put on the next line.

HELP!

It sounds like you're talking about static content. You should know that PDF files were not meant to be edited in this way. Don't expect the same features as Word, such as automatic bullets when you add a new line. You have to add everything manually, and it might cause all kinds of problems.

The best approach is to go back to the original file used to create the PDF, edit it and then generate a new PDF from it.

Thanks! I do have Word, so I will do that. I copied the .PDF from the net,

so am not sure where the original is. Thanks so much for your quick answer.
