Hello, I am trying to take an existing PDF file and insert that file at the end of multiple PDFs at the same time. Is there a way to do this process automatically instead of manually inserting the file into each PDF?
Thank you.
JB
No scripts required. Create an new Action using the Action Wizard (under Tools). Add to it an "Insert Pages" command and then click that command and click on Specify Settings. Select the file you want to insert and then select to insert it after the last page. Make sure to remove the tick in the "Prompt User" box if its selected.
Then add a Save command and you're ready to run the Action on your files.

Yes, if you have Acrobat Pro.

That is great to hear. I am using Acrobat Pro. What is the process, is there a script to run?
Thanks

Thank you again for the reply. This process has definitely worked but it seems to add the file only on the PDF documents in my folder that have not been electronically signed. Is there a way to add the documents to forms that have been eSigned as well?
Also on some of the inserts I receive this message:
"Any form fields that have the same name in the merged documents are now merged into one field. If you want these values to be unique, then you need to create a PDF Portfolio instead of merging the files."
Does this process apply to what I am trying to accomplish? Meaning should I be creating a PDF Portfolio or should I just ignore this message?

The entire point of a digital signature is it assure that the signed file is not altered after it was signed, so the answer is no, you can't do that.

Right after you typed that, I figured out there is a way to do it! Instead of adding the non-signed file to the end of the digitally signed application (which does not work as you stated), you CAN actually add the digitally signed file to the beginning of the non-eSigned file. In other words, you just do the process in reverse. Now if I can just figure out how to rework the action I would be all set.

If the file is not signed you can add the pages to it anywhere you'd like (it's all under the options of the Insert Pages command, by the way).

Right! But I am trying to figure out how to add a file to 1000+ applications at the same time without having to do each one manually.
I've learned that some of the existing files are eSigned, some are not. Since you cannot add a non-eSigned file to an eSigned one, the action command won't work. However, since you CAN add an eSigned file to a non-eSigned one, there may be a way to rework the action to now take all of the 1000+ applications and have each one individually added to the beginning of the file I want to add-- and automatically re-save 1000+ times... The logistics are now a bit complicated.
