Acrobat X and CS6 are end-of-life (out of support).

There is no upgrade pricing from a suite (CS6) to the latest Acrobat, or to Creative Cloud.

What you saw seems to be an error in Adobe's updater, which suggests Acrobat DC is an update, when it is a new product.

Did you install any other CC product or CC trial? If so things are messy.
