I have started to transform a current excel form into a PDF version to be used in PDF expert. How do you create the forms to automatically tally/calculate in the PDF form version??

I have found Excel a poor form design tool. Lots of rearranging and manually adding fields.
You convert the Excel file to a PDF. Try the form Wizard or just manually add the form fields. Then add the needed JavaScript to the fields that require calculations.
You may need to read the various tutorials and view the videos that deal with form creation.
