How do you tag engineering drawings for accessibility in Acrobat Pro DC?

We are trying to make an engineering document file accessible. While we are having no trouble making the text pages accessible and tagging them correctly, we aren't quite sure how to properly tag the engineering diagrams. Anyone have experience with this and best practices? The file includes documents created elsewhere so there isn't an option to go to the source file; we are dealing with a combined document from multiple .pdfs some created here and some created abroad. Essentially, we need to tag the final .pdf. Any help would be much appreciated!

You need to include Alt text for any image that conveys information. Ideally, the Alt text should convey the same information as the image. Unfortunately that is not practical for a complex image like an engineering drawing. One solution is for the Alt text to provide a URL to a web page that provides a long description of the drawing. Or, the Alt text could provide contact information to a person or organization that can provide the information in an accessible format.

Thank you for your response, unfortunately, we really need a better solution as a majority of the manuals we are working on have engineering layouts and are not available online. The contact information is in the document already and I'm not sure there is really a more accessible way to present the information than what we are currently working toward.
