How may I convert PDF Scans to Word

Community Beginner ,
Oct 12, 2016 Oct 12, 2016

Hello Everyone,

Using W7 Ultimate, Firefox 49.0.1 with Google Browser.

I have scanned 8 separate parts of text and saved them as PDFs.

I would now like to Edit them, join them together and enlarge the text then print them out.

I have tried so many on-line free "Convert PDF to Word" offers, but each acts like a PDF when converted and does not allow Editing.

Is there any way that I can obtain a FREE convert  PDF to Word, or is it only a "Pay for" option to obtain one that can actually be edited?

Regards,

Colin

If you only care about the text in the file and not the layout then you can

simply select it with the mouse, copy it and then paste it in Word. Job

done.

Hello Bernd Alheit,

Thank you for posting a reply.

I have already looked at that option and it is a "paid for" option. So really you are saying "NO!" in answer to my question.

Whilst I have no problem with buying or paying for an application or programme which I will use on a regular basis, this is only about the second time in roughly 16 years that I have tried to convert a PDF into a Word document in order to edit the resultant Word document, so I don't think I will bother. It is only really for convenience or speed. I can type out all the parts of text and achieve the result I want that will not result in a waste of money.

Regards

Colin

Hello Try67,

Thank you for that simple solution.

I rarely "play around" with PDFs in this way. In the normal course, I will download then print them out.

Your answer is perfect for me. Many thanks.

(There will probably arrive a time when I want to actually edit some words in a PDF, but that may not happen very soon, I hope!)

Regards

Colin
