How to resize width of comment list?

Acrobat Pro, AFAIK, only shows comment lists on the righthand side of the document (the pre-CC version showed them at the bottom of the document, or at least allowed for that option).

When you're going through a document that has nearly 1,000 comments, it's helpful to have as many comments showing at once as possible, because it reduces the amount of times you have to click in the comment bar to advance the list. I don't believe the "page down/up" keys work in the comment list, so it has to be a mouse move.

I know that the size of the font in comments can be changed, but obviously there are limits to how small comments can be and still be legible. So I would like to change the width of the comment list to allow multiline comments to take up less vertical space.

Can't seem to do it, though. Hovering on the right side of the list, the cursor turns into the double-ended arrow. Dragging with that increases the width of the entire window, increasing the size of the PDF's text but not affecting the comments list.

Here's the weird thing, though: hovering on the left side of the comments list results in the cursor turning into parallel lines. But when I drag with this, I get a spinning beachball, and nothing happens.

Any ideas?
