How to store variable data in PDF after close?

Hi,

I have a PDF form developed in Acrobat 10 Pro. I have several Javascript variables that I want to store in the PDF when the form user saves the file, so I can later open the file and check the values of these variables.

Is this possible?

Thank you.

Works like a charm! Thanks a lot Bernd.

Tested on both Acrobat and Reader and works fine.
