How to turn off autofill for same name fields

Hello,

It is my understanding that if you create a form and multiple fields have the exact same name, Acrobat will autofill all of those fields when you input any value.

So for example if there are two form fields named "Citizenship", if you type United States into one, then United States will appear in both fields.

Is there a way to turn this off? The only suggestions I am seeing is to rename the fields. But I am hoping there is another way around that, because I am creating a form where it makes sense to have multiple fields with the same name, but that will often need to have different values input.

Please help, there has to be an answer besides simply "change the name of the fields." My form will look really bad if I can't find a way around this.

Thank you!

No, it can't be turned off. How would it work if you wanted to export the

values, for example? What would be the value of the "Citizenship" field if

you have multiple instances of it, each one with a different value? As you

can see, this is a major problem.

Why will your form look bad when you use different names?
