I can not get my Adobe Acrobat X Pro to work at all. I can't even get it to open up. How do I fix this? Can I simply uninstall and reinstall it? I have the CS6 Master Collection and am not sure how to do it.

Hello,

I sure would appreciate it if someone could help me with this issues I am having with my Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I am unable to open the program.

I have a desktop running Windows 7.

I thought that I might be able to uninstall/reinstall the program and see if that worked, but am not sure because I have the CS6 Master Collection of all of the Adobe products and wasn't sure if I could uninstall/reinstall just one program.

I haven't been able to open this program up for months now and previously requested help and didn't receive any so I got frustrated and pushed it to the side. Now I have to get it working so that I can get work done and desperately need some help.

All of my other Adobe programs seem to be functioning just fine.

Thank You In Advance!

Shawn

Hello Everyone!

Thank you so very much for all of the help.

Here is what I did...

1. I simply uninstalled both Adobe Acrobat X Pro and Adobe Reader.

2. Restarted the computer.

3. Reinstalled Adobe Acrobat X Pro from my CS6 disc.

4. Once reinstalled I checked for updates and ran them.

5. Restarted the computer upon completion of the updates.

6. Everything works great now!

So once again I wanted to thank everyone who helped me on this issue.

Yes, you can certainly (un-)install only one program from the entire suite. You can do it via the Control Panel, just like any other application.

It might also be a good idea to run this tool: Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

Hi ,

The above link is for standalone Acrobat and not for Creative Suite/Cloud.

Hmm , have you tried launching from new user account or via Hidden Administrator once ?

Let us know .

Yes , you may uninstall and reinstall once , however , it is Ideal to check from different user account once b4 proceeding further.

Unlike other apps , Acrobat installation, also Lightroom is little bit different.
