I cannot reinstall my Acrobat 9 Pro on my iMac (27" late 2012) running Yosemite.

After replacing the hard disc on my iMac (27" late 2012) I have tried to reinstall my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. No success with either copying the program from my backup disc nor with reinstalling it from my original DVD nor with downloading the copy on Adobe's website. In all cases I get an apparent installation but with a menu reduced to a single item ("Acrobat") and no activity following this. I have tried using the contextual menu's Open command which generally fails once let me get up to being able to write my activation code, which seemed to give me a full operating copy. However a further attempt to use it brought me back to the 1-item menu and non-operability. What can be done?

I have already tried that without success. The setting indeed allows an installation of the program from the Adobe website but not its activation. Sorry not to have included this fact in my original post.

No. I have a window with "Adobe vous propose d'autres fonctionnalités..." (it's a French system) with a pdf Printer and something else offered and the only choice is "Continue". Choosing this does nothing (no installation) and returns me to the 1-tem menu and the inaccessibility of the program to any further activity. I can't even close it but am forced each time to do a forced closure.

i don't know if this lists the problem you're seeing (https://helpx.adobe.com/archive/acrobat/acrobat-9-troubleshooting.pdf), but i don't really understand what you're seeing and wonder if you have a compatibility issue.

you can check other users' experiences, http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

and you can create a new admin account on your mac and try installing under that account, OS X Yosemite: Set up users on your Mac
