Can you give more details about your problem? in which software are you trying to open Solidworks files? Why?

Do you know the version of the Solidworks files?

I think that you have a file in a version that Adobe 3D reviewer can not read.

If it is the case, i think that the software will never be able to read it because it seems that it is no more updated.

But you can use another software to view your files with Acrobat Reader. You can try CrossManager, that converts many CAD formats (including Solidworks) in 3D PDF: http://www.datakit.com/en/cross_manager.php

After conversion, you will be able to view the 3D PDFs files by opening them in Acrobat Reader.

It can be the same problem for Parasolid files. Maybe it is an unsupported version of Parasolid format.

Are you able to open other sldprt or x_t files coming from SolidWorks 2011, or do you get the same error?

I think that you can't update it because it is no more provided by Adobe.

That's why i gave you the alternative solution above.

Hi,

3D Reviewer still exists, it is now provided by Tetra4D, aside the Tetra4D Converter tool:

Tetra4D Converter | Tetra4D

I'am using it, so I can confirm is still alive 🙂
