I’d like to do a Dynamic Stamp with an incremental number.

 Hello Community.

I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.

I’d like to do a Dynamic Stamp with an incremental number.

So for example, I click on a stamp that says “SPOOL”, and each time it’s applied to the page the number would increase i.e. “SPOOL 1″, “SPOOL 2″, “SPOOL 3″, etc….

I would like also that countinous numbering could be edditable. So I could stop my actuall stamping and start again with “SPOOL 2″  for example.

Is it possible in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

You can hold the number in a global variable.

Thanks for quick answer.

Please undestand that I have no idea about programming in JavaScript.

Could you please send me Code for do that? And explain step by step how to run it?

Allow me to explain why this is a very reasonable reply from someone who has posted over 28,000 individual replies to help people. You won't like it. The forums are full of people who want people to write their scripts for them. Or, as I like to say "Everyone would like someone else to do their job". Hey, I don't need to study, someone on the internet can do it for me for free! And could someone come round and make some shelves for me, please, nothing tacky, but something timeless in oak. What do you mean you want me to pay for the wood?

Mostly, we like to help people to study so they can help themselves.

Sometimes people have a few minutes and can share a short reply. Sometimes a problem is interesting and people even spend hours on it. But you want something really complicated and time consuming. Could it be a full days' work? Maybe. Plus it may need more complex set up on your computer. I don't know, but if you want help, it's best to play the game.

Then why don't you ask Adobe to do free work for you. None of us work for Adobe or get paid to anwser questions. We do this for the community of people who need help getting going with their work, not to do thier work for them.

Why you won't help me?

It is not a simple task.

When you search the web for this you will get many solutions for this.

You should read this book, I never regretted it. The return on investment is made from the 2nd or 3rd chapter.

You'll find a couple of increment stamps here (available to members):

https://www.pdfscripting.com/public/All_About_PDF_Stamps.cfm

and also scripts for creating your own incrementing stamps. Same as the book JR linked.

I believe there is a free auto-incrementing (legal exhibit) stamp available here:
