I have Acrobat Pro 10, when i installed Reader DC, it has affected the way I have been able to move text boxes when I create a fillable form fiel, it also have affected my ability to release and edit the properties of the the fields/, I am suspecting I ma out of luck, Adobe chat support won't help, nor do they care to. Is there a location for regaining the updates of Acrobat 10, if I uninstall my current program? I still have my original CD, and paperwork. Adobe won't acknowledge they created this issue. i have been working very extensively with Acrobat Pro 10 on form for a nonprofit I belong to, and it happened immediately after I was testing a form I created in Acrobat 10, testing it with Reader DC. Operating system Windows 7
This is usually due to the "Snap to Grid" feature being enabled. It can be accidentally enabled via the keyboard, so this may have been what happened.

Can you describe in more detail what you mean by "it has affected the way I have been able to move text boxes" and "affected my ability to release and edit the properties of the fields"? I'm having trouble understanding what the problem is.

See my response online, when moving text boxes or check boxes to their proper place on a form, they would move erratically, not subtle. it was impossible to place them correctly in a form. Uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat Pro X and it updated completely. So much for the phone help from Adobe.

After removing & reinstalling Adobe Acrobat George Johnson gave me the correct simple solution. I played with the feature, after never using it before. Once I illuminated the grid lines, I could see what it was going on in the movement of "snap to grid.." I am baffled as to how I could have enabled it Shift+Contol+U, but knowing I work late on some of these projects, it is possible.
Thank you George,
You have been extremely helpful, I'll commit this to memory, and see if some of my projects may fit using grid lines and the "Snap to Grid" feature. I wish I had received your answer sooner, A lot of wasted time and days.
Thank you so much!

Yes, please describe the issue more clearly.
Also, why do you need Reader if you have Acrobat installed?
To answer your question, yes, the updates to Acrobat X are still available on the Adobe website.

After being warned not to uninstall my version of Adobe Acrobat 10, due to the unavailability of updates; I did anyway. I was desperate for a solution. I uninstalled and reinstalled and the updates reinstalled also. Things are working perfectly.
An answer to a question that someone who tried to help: I installed Adobe Reader, because this was a interactive form for a website. Not everyone has Adobe Acrobat, but they have versions of Adobe Reader. These forms I am working on are Reader Extended versions, that allows everyone to email, save and print their completed forms using Adobe Reader. When testing these forms, it will typically open in my Acrobat Pro, so I am unable to see how they will function in a version of Reader. It is extremely helpful, to see what the general computer public deals with in completing forms online.
