I installed Acrobat DC Pro on my Mac Air and it won't open pdf files. This has happened several times now. Occasionally I will reinstall and it will work. And once it just started working. What is wrong?

I went into "Window" and changed the "tile" setting and the document appeared. I think it was open just not visible on my screen for some reason.

Acrobat is open but it won't open pdf files by either method. Thanks for suggestions.

first, save a valid pdf onto your desktop, https://graduateland.com/api/v2/users/jesper/cv

what do you see when you open acrobat > click file > open and navigate to that pdf?

Nothing happens. The pdf doesn't open, and the screen doesn't change. I know Acrobat is open because the menu at the top of the screen says "Acrobat"

Was having major issues opening files.  Using MacOS Mojave. I can't open files. I used to be able to right click on a file name and click "open with" and it may have been Acrobat Reader DC. Don't recall. I tried it with Adobe Acrobat. No luck. Both of those are in my dock at the bottom of the screen. But I can't open files. I tried using the Open File option from the menu on top of the screen, for Acrobat Pro DC. Nothing happens. Very frustrating. I need to open PDF files many times  a day.

I tried the Window idea, with Tile, and Vertical, and it seems to work for now. Odd.

  • Force Quit all the Acrobat's processes running at the background.
  • Relaunch Adobe Reader and check.
