I keep getting asked for an update to Acrobat DC tho it is uninstalled

I have tried and tried to get rid of the message to Update Acrobat DC. First of all, clicking on it does nothing. Secondly, it has already been removed from my computer.

I was thinking that problem might be that I installed it in Windows 8 and then uninstalled it when I got to Windows 10. I am subscribed to InDesign CC, but do not need Acrobat DC. I searched all my subdirectories under Program and Programs (x86) and there is nothing there.

I have Acrobat X Pro installed and it continues to work fine. I just can't get rid of DC. I went to the page to install it, thinking a reinstall and uninstall might work, but the page seems to find something on my computer and does not give me the DOWNLOAD option.

     Can you please help?

Hi,

Please sign out of creative cloud desktop app by clicking gear symbol at top right and click preferences and then sign out.

Then download Acrobat cleaner tool from following link and remove acrobat DC using it http://labsdownload.adobe.com/pub/labs/acrobat_ittools/acrobat_ittools_cleaner_p2_061713.zip

try to launch creative cloud desktop app and sign in . And it should work fine.

I don't want to remove my Acrobat 10, but there is no option other than removing the whole thing. How do I know I will not remove the Acrobat I am using and not just the DC that I do not want?

If I remove Create Cloud, will it disable or remove InDesign CC?

It will not affect indesign if you will try to uninstall Creative cloud desktop app. Please go for it.

I uninstalled and then reinstalled. It is EXACTLY the same as before. Why does it keep asking me to update Acrobat DC? And why won't it let me uninstall it? There must be an errant file somewhere. Please ask your technical experts to direct me what files to remove or update.
