Hi callmeanytime ,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Would like to inform you Adobe PDF pack is a subscription which lets you combine, convert , and export PDFs.
It is not an upgrade version for Acrobat Pro 9.
It is an online subscription which you can access using a browser and also with Adobe Acrobat Reader by signing in with your adobe ID .Once the PDF is created you can open it in Acrobat 9 to change the properties.
You can refer this link for Adobe PDF Pack FAQs : FAQ | Adobe PDF Pack
Also please let us know the OS version you have .
Regards
Sarojini

PDF Pack is for people with Reader only; everything it does can be done by Acrobat, even the old Acrobat 9. It is too late for an upgrade price for Acrobat 9, but you can subscribe to the current version, called Acrobat DC (Standard or Pro).
If you want to use your Acrobat to create a PDF, just don't use Reader.
