I would like to know if it is possible to auto-adjust the lenght of a field in an ACROBAT PRO form. meaning that if I type a long word in that 1st field, the 2nd field would not be that far.

No, it's not really possible. You can try to move the 2nd field based on the length of the first field using a script, but it will be guess-work, at best.
