Info about uploading a file and attaching it to a form

Hello,

Is there a tutorial about how to create a button to be used for uploading a file which will be attached to the main pdf form?

I have tried the document uploaded on Dropbox by Mr. Johnson but it seems that I miss something because even when I copy the whole button(working in the sample document) this does not work.

Thank you.

Catalin

No user rights are required for what I've described.

Make sure you're using the correct tool. I'm not referring to the Attachments panel, but to a commenting tool which you can find under the Comment panel on the right.

Hi catalint12885899

Please refer the steps provided in this link for help:  https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-create-a-button-form-field-to-insert-a-pdf-file

Also refer this KB doc for more information on setting action on buttons: Setting action buttons in PDF forms, Adobe Acrobat

Let us know if this helps.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately this does not answer my question which is related to uploading and attaching a file to a pdf form and I could not find a practical and working example in the available documentation(excepting the sample document provided by Mr. Johnson a while ago and for which I assume he used a extension server).

I found somwehere that it require an expensive extension server.

Thank you.

Another option is to use the Attach File commenting tool. It's available by default for all PDF files if Acrobat or Reader XI or higher is used.

Are you sure? I have saved the pdf with user rights and yet I cannot attach documents to it. (the attach document icon is not available).
