Installation stops and "Newer version already installed" appears, although I have NO version on my computer.

That's it. I uninstalled an older version because of a "Core" matter which blocked the version from working. I uninstalled that version, but every time I try to install Adobe Acrobat now, I get the same message--a newer version is already installed. Wrong. There is no such thing.

Hi dougm44283353,

Please try running the cleaner tool "Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs" on your machine to remove all traces of Acrobat.

Then after removing the program, reinstall the version of the software you like to install on your system

If any issue persist , please check with the different user account.

Regards,

Yatharth
