I've been trying to install the free 30-day trial of Acrobat DC on my Macbook Air. Every time it installs about 25% and then I receive an error message and my only option is to cancel and start over. Since there doesn't appear to be a PC vs Mac option on selecting the download, I'm not sure what's going wrong.
Here's a screen shot of my error message:

Hi
Could you please uninstall Adobe Reader DC from your machine and download its offline installer from here:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
Now, try installing Adobe Acrobat DC again by running the executable file and check if the problem persists.
Also, let me know if you are connected to a proxy server, then you might need to refer the KB doc link listed for this error:
Error installing Reader | Proxy server environment
You may also refer keep getting unable to load metafile message when trying to download adobe readerx to windows 7 prof...
Trouble downloading the free trial of Adobe Acrobat DC! "unable to load metafile"

Could you please let me know do you have any other version of acrobat installed on your system ?
If yes, you will have to uninstall that and then try installing acrobat DC from this link : Download and install Adobe Acrobat Pro DC trial

I did not have any previous versions of any Adobe products aside from Flash on my computer. The solution did not work. The link you provided with regard to Wndows 7 is irrelevant as I'm on a MacBook Air running OS X 10.9.5. Great to offer a free trial - not so great when it's so difficult to install. Doesn't make me want to spend $500 on it that's for sure.

Oh, and no proxy server. It's just me and my MacAir trying to be able to have full functionality of Acrobat.
