is it possible to copy a selection from a dropdown list into another dropdown list in adobe acrobat?

I need to be able to copy an entire line of form fields and dropdowns if a user clicks a "copy line above" checkbox. I've figured out how to copy form fields, but the script I'm using won't work for the dropdown lists. Is it because I'm trying to copy the dropdown selection into another dropdown menu and not a text field?
