When dealing with adobe "experts" outside of the forum has anyone had any issues regarding fee for service?

Yes. Do not pay. Do not give them access to your computer, even if there is no charge.
Adobe posted this warning: "We have received a number of reports where some members of this community are posing as Adobe Employees by offering to help troubleshoot issues personally using technologies such as Skype as a means to gain access to your computer and potentially your personal information. All Adobe employees are required to have an orange ‘STAFF’ badge next to their user profile which can be seen if you mouse-over their profile picture. "
However, you should be careful to distinguish between these classes of reply
1. People who work for Adobe. They will not normally ask you for payment, but they may refer you to Adobe services that cost money. (For example, developer support may cost around $200 per time).
2. People claiming to represent Adobe who do not. This is fraud.
3. People offering non-official support for Adobe. This may be expert and may cost money. However, you should apply normal caution to this - would you give a stranger access to your computer? What is their company and reputation? Also, consider whether the free help in the forums can solve your issue - but it will need you to take time, work methodically, and answer questions; we will NOT connect to your computer.
4. People charging for custom work or services which you would otherwise have to do yourself, such as writing scripts, typically without access to your computer. This is entirely legitimate, since you cannot expect experts to do this sort of work for free. Though of course in the forums we can hope to educate so you can do this yourself.
