Issues trying to print to Adobe PDF

I've got several users who are trying to print Word docs, browser pages and .jpg images to PDF files.  In one case, the user tries to create a PDF file with a collection of .jpg images from his camera.  He's prompted to create a file name and location, as he normally would.  When he clicks on Save, the dialog box goes away.  Yet, no PDF file was created.  Another user is trying to print to Adobe PDF from an IE 11 browser.  He clicks on Save and gets the following error message:

adobe_err.jpg

Again, clicking Yes yields no PDF file being created.  A third person is trying to print a Word doc to PDF, doesn't get an error message but no file is created.  I also tested with one of these users creating a test file in Notepad.  When I tried to print it I got the following error message:

adobe_err2.jpg

If anyone has any ideas or solutions, it would be much appreciated.

Hi lhunninghake

You might try the following steps and see if it works:

1- Check if there is an update available for Acrobat.

Launch Acrobat>navigate to Help menu>click on Check for updates. If there is an update available, download and install it>restart the computer>launch Acrobat and see if you are able to print to Adobe PDF without any issue.

2- Try to convert other Web page in IE and see if its still shows the same behavior.

3- Try to create PDF in IE using Adobe PDF toolbar, please visit this link for the same:

Converting web pages to PDF, Adobe Acrobat

4- If that doesn't work. try to follow the steps given here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/308260

Could you please let me know the version of Adobe Acrobat installed on the machines?

To check the version of Acrobat, launch Acrobat>navigate to Help menu>select About Adobe Acrobat

Which operating system is installed on the machines?

What is the version of MS Office installed?
