Message when combining other pdfs with a word document: There was an error encountered while combining files. Do you want to open the combined file or return to the file list and try again (trying again gets same message). Message when creating pdf from word document: Acrobat could not open '...docx' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged. To create an Adobe PDG document, go to the source application. Then choose Save as Adobe PDF from the PDF dropdown in the Print dialog.
We combine several word docs with pdf files so going to each one to create a pdf through the print function is extra time. Acrobat works great on my old PC and on our networked mac mini with the same OS, same Acrobat but microsoft word for mac 2011 version 14.6.0.

Hi jbug56,
Acrobat 11.0.7 is not compatible with Mac OS 10.11. Please check for the updates under the Help menu of Acrobat & update it to 11.0.14.

Aadesh
