microsoft edge is the problem

New Here ,
Oct 01, 2016 Oct 01, 2016

A few mornings ago, I started to sign into my HP laptop and a message: "HI" "We've made changes to your account, don't shut off your PC" Since then (after discovering this mysterious "someone" was Microsoft Edge, I have not been able to override Internet Explorer and Windows PDF. I need a fix for this. Nothing I found on Internet works for me. Please can someone help? I don't want to disconnect my service-but may be forced to if this continues.

Hi lindam42849654

I am sorry for the delay in response.

As i was able to understand the issue, your default pdf program has been changed, and you want to open pdfs using Adobe Reader, is that correct?

You might try the steps given in the following link:

Associate PDF files to always open in Acrobat or Reader on Windows 10

Could you please let me know which Windows operating system do you have- 7/8/10?

Thank You,

Shivam
