Multiple checkboxes, and digital signatures required. Lost functionality. Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

I have a form at work that has multiple checkboxes, and digital signature fields. After the first digital signature no one else can then check the box before signing. This used to be available. Is there any way for users to continue to check the checkbox, after the first digital signature?

Don't lock the document when you sign it.

When you sign, make sure that 'Lock' check box is not checked.
