I'm editing a pdf and the number one (1) is looking very strange: almost like a lower case L than the number 1. How can I correct and or keep this from happening?

You need to first select the text and then change the font.

Use a different font... Preferably a serif one.

thanks so much for your help try67. Can you tell me how to change the font. I tried using the drop down button and selecting a new font but it keeps going back to the previous one.

It depends on how exactly you're entering the text. Can you provide some more details about your application (exact name and version number), as well as what tool you're using?

It's Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I'm under the edit PDF function. When I opened the document I noticed a message on the program that said it was adjusting to match up the fonts on the existing documents (I'm paraphrasing of course)

So what happens when you select the text and then try to change the font in the panel on the right?

it's currently on calibri. When I go to the pull done button and select a different font but then when I click on the page to start typing the font automatically goes back to calibri
