my redemption code for student/teacher version does not work

Where are you typing it? And, is it from the outside of a box?

At first, I was directed to a screed requiring a serial number.  Then I followed the Adobe help instructions to get to a screen requesting a redemption code vs a serial number.  The instructions indicated that after I supplied the redemption code, I would be provided a serial number.  That screen did not accept/fit a 22 character redemption code.  Nowhere else to go.....
