Need to locate Acrobat 8 serial number

I have a new machine and installed Acrobat X.  I have that serial number, but when I enter it, install comes up with "The serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product  cannot be found on this computer.  I can't find my Acrobat 8 serial number.  Any suggestions?

I have read that article - i should have said I don't have access to my Acrobat 8 serial number any longer.  i can't find it.  In the past, i called Adobe and they walked me through  process to get my product working.  How do i do that?

To add further info - if you follow the link suggested, it will tell you to call Adobe and when you click on the link to get the phone number it just redirects you back to the basic support page.  I believe what i need to do is have Adobe unlock it, but it doesn't appear you can call adobe any longer on this topic

You can Contact Customer Care. Make sure you sign in with your Adobe ID and select product from list.

Then select chat or phone option under "Still need help?Contact us".
