I have a new pc but prefer acrobat xi, I know I can roll back the download on my old computer from Dc which I have done and I keep ignoring the updates but can I somehow install xi on my new pc? I can't see anywhere to do this in the creative cloud window. Any suggestions please?
If not possible would buying a stand alone copy of xi work or would there be a conflict with the licence for the rest of my applications? I really don't like DC !
Personally, I think the last 'good' UI to Acrobat was A9... but that's just me
As for your issues. Can you uninstall AXI from one box and install it on another? Sure. Not a problem.
What about having installed on both boxes? Again, sure... so long as you don't use it on both at the same time (licensing issue).

What about compatibility with my other CC apps? Shouldn't be too bad, as most of the APIs between Acrobat and the CC apps are separate with the 'link' being through the 'MIME' type file extension calls rather than directly to the Acrobat DLLs. But that isn't to say that everything will work perfectly.
Keep in mind that with AXI you are back-leveling the PDF library being used for PDF creation out of the non-CC apps. Meaning that under Windows 10 the PDF may not be as good as it could be.
Long answer, short. It will work, but may not be perfect. So long as you are willing to run (unsupported by Adobe) in this manner...
