HI,

I am trying to combine two PDFs that are on a share drive using Adobe Acrobat XI but all getting an error saying the file can not be read to remove it. If I move the same files to my local desktop it works just fine. I am using windows 7 and the share drives are on Windows Server 2008 Any ideas Capture.PNG

No.

May be that the path of the documents is too long for Windows.

In the screenshot it seems like you have that file opened in the background... Maybe that is causing it to be locked. Try closing all files before you merge them.

I have tried it with and without the file open. It works just fine if I save the file to my desktop and combine them
