ocr not working acrobat x pro

New Here ,
Jan 13, 2016 Jan 13, 2016

I have Acrobat X Pro which used to work fine.  For some reason, the OCR function stopped working and now throws error messages.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, changed permissions on folders, delete files as directed in one of your solution responses to the annoying repeated requests for serial numbers even after I re-registered the program.  (That seems to have cured the requests to register)

Still, OCR does not work.

I've verified that the API loads when I load a pdf.

I have only one other machine to compare it to, but that machine uses Version 11 Pro, which continues to work fine.

I can operate on the same files using Acrobat 11, but it's on a laptop and quite slow.  The desktop with Acrobat X is much faster, but for some reason the papercapture (OCR) is simply not functional.  All of the files and .dll files appear to be present and in the right place.

I've tried every suggestion I can find on the web, and still, no luck.

Please advise a more extensive debugging procedure.

Thanks,

Len

Please tell us what the error messages are. And the system. Acrobat X is past end of support and not for the latest systems,  but still, someone might recognise the messages.
