Opening PDF with titel or document name

Hi,

Acrobat opens pdf files with titel name (if there is one) instead of document names.

I know, I can change that one in document prefs, but have to re-pdf (print to pdf again) loads of files.

I searched the prefs... didn't find an answer.

For example Doc names are
1. First chapter.pdf (titel is document01)

2. Second chapter.pdf (titel is also document01)

It does not print the documentnames but prints the document titles... So all files now called document01.pdf!

Does anyone know how to set document names as standard?

Thanks,

Ruud.

You can change this in "Initial View" of the document properties.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer...
As I said above, I found it at 'Initial view' at the document properties, but then I have to 'prop' a lot of documents.
I was hoping I could set de default somewhere in Acrobat for opening every PDF with document names instead of titles.

You talked about prefs not properties.

In Acrobat Pro you can change this with Action Wizard for a folder of documents.

You can also change the Title name to the file name with a preflight profile-

Tools> Print Production> Preflight Fixes> Document Info & Metadata> Set Title to File Name. This can also be automated to apply to a folder of files.
