Option for removing footers apart from redaction.

I have a PDF which has size of about 700mb. In that i have multiple footers but i want to remove only footers which is like "SRC 000001". this is a series and depends on the no. of pages of file. For Eg. if a file has 100 pages, footers will be like SRC 000001 for first page and SRC 000100 for last page. I tried redaction but the file is not getting saved. I am using a 9 pro version.

That's very old and unsupported but redaction ought to work. What problem do you see, in detail? What system (Not compatible with the latest)?

core 2 duo processor, 16 GB RAM. When I mark for redactions, it gets marked, but when i apply redactions, i get a error that "Adobe Acrobat has stopped working". Is there any other option like change in codes or editing in Java.

By "system" I meant, for example, Windows 7 or Mac OS 10.8. Sorry not to have been clearer.

Do you have all updates on Acrobat 9? If so, you may need to use a modern version.

Well, we can't really call it up to date. Can you post the exact version you are on? We can check if you have all updates, since the automatic updates no longer work.

Hmm. Not sure how you could describe this as "up to date". There are many updates, which have to be applied one by one manually (though you can bypass the reboot until the last one). This might fix it, we have no way of knowing. Although support finished in 2013 and automatic updates are closed, you can still get the updates from an Adobe FTP server. I hope someone can post the link. This is likely to take all day.
