pdf forms unable to print/save

I have created a pdf form, with Acrobat 9 Pro, for our website for customers to fill out and submit.

The form is protected and has had the Extended Features in Adobe Reader is allowed.

Security is as follows:

Opened by:  Acrobat 7.0 and later

Printing:  Allowed

Changing the Document:  Not Allowed

Document Assembly:  Not Allowed

Content Copying:  Not Allowed

Content Copying for Accessibility:  Allowed

Page Extraction:  Not Allowed

Commenting:  Not Allowed

Filling of form fields:  Allowed

Signing:  Allowed

Creation of Template Pages:  Not Allowed*

The problem:

When opened in Explorer you can fill out the form and save it but you can not print it from the website, you can save it and open it and print it.

When opened in Chrome you can fill out the form and print it but part of the form does not print.  You can not save the form, you can however download a blank form, open it fill it out save it and print it.

I have not tried any other browsers at this time.

If you would like a copy of the document I would be happy to supply it.

Thank you,

Chrome uses its own PDF plugin, which is far from perfect. You should

report any issues with it to its developers. It is not related to Adobe.

Thank you,

But this will be on our website and anyone/everyone has different browsers/pdf readers that we have to prepare a pdf to work on all.  I do realize that its not feasible for a company to make a product to be used with all types of software but there has to be a better way than this.  Any suggestions?

Not only does Chrome have an issue but the new Web Browser in Windows 10, View, also has an issue with PDF forms.

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-browser-plugin-configuration.html

Solve PDF issues by reconfiguring your browser to work with Acrobat or Reader plug-in.

You may also want to contact or look at the Help for the browser you are having an issue with.
