Hello,
I have a software program that takes data in and reduces it. The data is then plotted on charts and printed out in a pdf format. The program can only print one pdf at a time and to one universal location. There are hundreds of plots and they should be reduced into a few collections. The data comes in hourly I would like the plots to be produced at least daily. I have the following issue:
So far my research has indicated that previous versions of adobe would do this through batch processing. I am using adobe pro XI and it doesn't seem possible. I tried to point the task scheduler to the program with the .sequ action name but that didn't work.
Is there a way of making Pro XI do this? If not what programs may be able to perform this action?
Thanks in advance, apologies if this has been asked already.
Your research is correct. Acrobat is not suited for this kind of task.

After further digging in and using the forums correctly this doesn't seem possible. It seems as though Adobe has locked down what used to be batch processing. In order to schedule (and essentially automate) an action you have to have more expensive software. Apparently there are third party applications but details have been sparse.

try67,
Do you have any recommendations for software that can perform this work?
Thanks in advance.

Depends. What exactly do you want to achieve? Also, what do you mean by "collections"?
At any rate, this is something we can discuss privately, as it doesn't involve Adobe software.
