When I print a word document to .pdf in Acrobat I often want
to have the document include pages from different documents.
Often I will want to add a supplement, for example, or combine
different pieces into a single presentation.
I can't find a way to have Adobe "wait" for the next parts of the
new .pdf document; instead, it will not print until you give it a
name and a "save-as place," and when you do it automatically
closes.
So to make a .pdf from several different documents, you have to "print" them all
to .pdf separately and then try to combine them.
I am looking for a way to add more pages to the document before
Acrobat names and closes it.

It might be a question of what the print quality setting is on each document. 600 or 1200 dpi. I have found this to be a problem when printing several tabs from Excel. They must all be formatted to be the same dpi otherwise Acrobat will want to save each individual page.
