Print Setup Amnesia

Greetings,

I have Google'd this to no end and tried different drivers, reinstalling them, etc.

This makes this forum my last hope, not the first resort.

I have a customer who is, per integration, stuck with Acrobat Pro 9.0.0 coming from CS4.

Downloading the patch to address the issue didn't help in fact the installer can't find Acrobat.

For all drivers except one, and for all other computers running the same image which gets nuked once reboot, ala chat room, it works.

Setting a paper size in the Print Setup hitting okay and going back shows what was setup.

On one computer it doesn't remember the paper size for one driver (of course, the most important one).

On that odd computer the orientation set in the Print Setup is remembered correctly, its only the paper size for that specific driver.

So I am at my wits end.

Trying the PCL driver, older driver, global print driver, reinstalling the driver, trying to patch acrobat, sniffing it with process monitor, nothing, nothing gets this Print Setup dialog to remember the paper size for that driver.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

ps: And please, don't tell me to upgrade Acrobat, reinstall windows, or reinstall Acrobat: I can't. I need in situ heart surgery for this installation
